Your skin

Most people are affected by problem skin at some point in their lives. Around 80% of teenagers
will experience acne, pimples and blackheads. The good news is that nearly everyone grows out of it.

The bad news is that it usually happens at a time when you all ready have plenty to deal with
and you really want to look your best.

What causes acne?

Hormones are the main culprit. During your teenage years your hormones can go a bit crazy. It is the increase in hormones, androgens in particular, that cause the sebaceous glands to produce more sebum. Sebum is the oily stuff that the skin secretes to protect itself. If your skin secretes too much you will get pimples. The chest, neck, face and shoulders have the highest number of sebaceous glands so that’s why these are the areas where breakouts are most likely to happen.

So exactly what is a pimple?

A pimple happens when a hair follicle becomes clogged or blocked. The white stuff in a pimple is the sebum, dead skin cells and bacteria (pus).

And what is a blackhead?

A blackhead is very similar to a pimple except that it is open to the air whereas a pimple is closed. When the pus is exposed to air it oxidises and turns a brown/black color.

So this is all great - but how do I get rid of them?

There are things you can do to control your acne. The Arayu + Skin Serum will help relieve your breakouts by reducing the redness, removing the bacteria and eliminating excess oil. Arayu + Skin Serum is a complete solution so you can finally feel good about your skin.
